Dans une chambre de motel, un jeune couple à la dérive attend depuis des semaines que le téléphone sonne et l’annonce d’une nouvelle décisive. Rythmée par les interventions tragicomiques d’un concierge alcoolique et d’une travailleuse sociale par trop conformiste, cette comédie noire exprime un commentaire social pointu, parfois irrésistiblement drôle.

Set in a dingy motel room, L’enfant-problème is about a broke young couple doing their best to leave an addiction filled past behind and who have lost their daughter to social services. The desperate parents are now in their motel room, hoping to hear their social worker declare them fit to take their daughter home. They have to wait, which they are not willing to do…What ensues is a series of absurd, hilarious and sometimes troubling plot-twists and episodes.
